EXPERIENCE OF INTERNATIONAL STUDY TOUR TO SINGAPORE MALAYSIA AND COLOMBO OF MBA SIMS

As a part of the MBA program from Srinivas institute of management studies, we are the most prosperous students who got an opportunity to visit the foreign countries as academic study tour. I am very much thankful to all who were involved in the process of arranging such a wonderful tour to us.

To tell about the experience we gained first and foremost it was the international tour with the class mates and friends. This gave us the experience of being in a team how to behave in the team as a team member.

Our tour started on 24th June 2008 from our college Mangalore, we started our tour with a warm send off from our beloved principal Dr P S Aithal and our vice president of our foundation Mr A. Srinivas rao.

At 2 30 we started from Mangalore to Cochin where we were suppose to go into the plane to Colombo which was our first international destination on the way to Singapore. We traveled more than 9 hours in train all the way to kerala coastal and reached “ALUVA” railway station at 11 25 ,which was near to the cochin International airport.

We checked into the hotel in cochin for the day named “LOTUS “Which was an “Apart hotel” It was a nice stay there for the night, and we checked out the hotel early morning and headed over to the international airport which was right in front of our ”LOTUS”.

We got into the Airport for the international travel processes like immigration checkup baggage checkup boarding etc. and boarded the plane at 9 45am in cochin and reached the Colombo Bandaranayke airport at 11 15 am, cleared all procedures and headed over to the hotel at 12 45 noon.

HOTEL BROWNS BEACH

The hotel we stayed in Srilanka was a beach restaurant. We stayed a night in the hotel .It was a really nice experience in the hotel in Srilanka, we had a get together in the evening and discussed the upcoming events we are going to have , the experience in the travel etc. After that we saw a cultural show of Srilanka named “CANDIAN DANCE” and some other events which are really very nice to see. It was an introduction of the pure Srilankan culture.

We headed towards to Colombo airport for the further travel to Singapore.

We reached Singapore “CHANGI” airport at 1 30 with a long journey of about 4 hours from Colombo.

SINGAPORE 26th June

“ISLAND RESORT” the beach hotel we stayed in Singapore for 3 days

City tour.

The first visit in Singapore was in the city tour of Singapore was SANTEC CITY Which was built purely on the basic of “FENG SHUI” There were 5 buildings which was built like the 5 fingers of a hand with the fountain in the middle which is the symbol of money.

The china temple we visited where the statue of Buddha covered by gold. And next was the old Singapore visit.

Santosa Island

Cable car ride to the island from the city which was an amazing experience where we enjoyed the cable car ride which was the ride in hanging wagons through cables. And we enjoyed 3 game shows like “CINE BLAST” “3d SHOW” And the dolphin show where pink dolphins are doing some events as their coach says. Underwater world was another place we visited where we saw the amazing numbers of fishes in big artificial aquarium. We also had a visit to the wax museum “IMAGES OF SINGAPORE” where the Singaporean culture is displayed in an artistic way. And the most attractive event was the “SONGS OF THE SEA” which was a laser show through Sprinkling water with the help of laser beams. It was an amazing show.

The next morning, we experienced the cycle ride in Singapore in the special tracks meant for cycling all the way through the beach and we enjoyed the ride.

Over to MALAYSIA –through road by coach 29th june

It was a long journey of more than 9 hours in the bus were reached MALAYSIA at 9 30 in the night and reached our hotel by 10 30

CITYTELL EXPRESS-Hotel in Malaysia

The first visit in the city visit in Malaysia was the king’s palace, Buddhist temple, an open bird sanctuary and a squire called Catholic center

The next visit was the PETRONAS twin towers in Malaysia

It was an amazing Movement we visited till 41 Floor, walked over the bridge in between the 2 buildings. It was an awesome experience to view from that place. The next day was our Industrial visit we visited the steal vessel manufacturing industry named “ROYAL SELANGOR PEWTERE” factory, saw all process of the each departments and the outcomes. Another one was the gems’ industry we visited the cutting and arranging the stones in deferent ways so that it gives proper shining and value. The watch industry where we purchased the watches.

The cave temple in Malaysia was another amazing thing we watched it was inside the limestone cave.

PUTRAJAYA Malaysian Official parliament block where all government offices are located.

And this was the last place we visited in Malaysia. After this we got some time to make our shopping’s in the place called MASJID INDIA and TIME SQUAIRE where we did our shopping.

CONCLUTION

To conclude, we enjoyed the tour very much .It was a very beautiful experience to us to visit these countries. Not just because of enjoyment it was really a worth we went there .The main factor to be consider those countries developed in every aspect without having any natural recourse with them but the initiative which made them develop today. The tourism industry they developed is very good those countries mainly depend on the tourists. There is a lot facility they are giving for the visitors to those countries. Some special festivals for shopping itself at that time for some kind of products will get at a very huge discount. And they will give the offer for the limit of purchase also. This year especially they are celebrating their INDEPENDANCE DAY on 9th august. They have planned to celebrate in the middle of the sea which is going to be a big tourist attractive event.

In all aspects they are developed, right from the basic level like road and the transport system in the city till the administration they made a benchmark for others. All the activities which they are arranging are done by the private personnel’s government will not involve in this activity but they have strong hold on them.

All these are possible just because these countries are small in their size and administration will be easy. And controlling will be not that much difficult. The country like India very huge wants some time to develop in all these aspects. Because administration is very difficult as it is huge in its size. And another point is imitativeness from people.

Again I am thankful to srinivas group for giving us this opportunity to visit foreign countries as a part of our study.
